Device Security Essentials
Enable screen lock with biometrics. Never install APKs from outside the Play Store. Review app permissions — most apps don’t need access to your contacts, location, or microphone. Use Google’s built-in Play Protect and keep your OS updated. Enable two-factor authentication on Google, WhatsApp, and banking apps.
What to Do If You’re Scammed
Call 1930 (National Cybercrime Helpline) immediately — banks can freeze transactions within hours if you act fast. File a report at cybercrime.gov.in. Report to your local police station with all transaction evidence.
